Hi folks,
I have a bunch of 20.04 Ubuntu repos that I need to upgrade to 24.04.. I believe I cannot perform a straight upgrade to 24.04 but instead, hoop to 22.04 and then to 24.04.. Is my understanding correct?
I have attempted to upgrade one repo from 20.04 to 22.04 but I have lost my network config in the process, (currently planning on rebuilding the netplan). Any tips on how to prepare for these upgrades please?
Thanks.

Re: Needing to upgrade all our 20.04 repos to 24.04
I just applied all available updates, then do-release-upgrade (keeping any local config changes). Stopped at 22.04 where the hardware was not certified for higher (and scheduled to be replaced anyway), did the same upgrade again to reach 24.04. I did this on maybe 20 servers and didn't have a single problem.

Simple as that... I was barking up the ISO image route. Let me try that.. Thanks again.
