NetApp 8.2 (7-mode snapshots) timezones reported in Veeam
I'm running:
Windows Server 2012 R2 with Veeam 9 U1 and connecting to a NetApp 3220 8.2 7-mode via FC. For the record, I saw the same issue with Veeam 8 too.
The NetApp runs scheduled snapshots, and I've added them to 'Storage Infrastructure' so Veeam can see all the LUNs/snapshots.
The problem is, when I come to restore from a snapshot. My filer and Windows server are both EDST/EST (as necessary ) but the snapshots are reported in GMT/Zulu in Veeam interface. As I post this at 9:46 EDST, when I look at the latest snapshots, they're from 13:00 today according to Veeam. Not the end of the world, but harder than it needs to be!
Has anyone else seen this? Anyway to fix it?

What type of restore are you trying to perform?

Restore type doesn't matter. Instant VM recovery, guest files, etc. When I pick which VM to restore from, I can see the NetApp snapshots and the Veeam backups together which I filter by VM name. The Veeam backups report the correct time, the NetApp snapshots are currently +4hrs ahead.
If I browse the NetApp snapshots, all VMs show +4hrs ahead.

Re: NetApp 8.2 (7-mode snapshots) timezones reported in Veea
Just checked mine. NetApp snapshot created by Veeam.
the 1:15pm snapshot
Restore point: VeeamSourceSnapshot_Groton-Win7SnapShot.2016-04-15_1315
The top of the restore form the menu bar shows "less than a day ago 5:15pm Friday 4/15/2016"
which has not happened yet in EDT but is UTC.
I saw this on some DR reports. We use UTC for some things so it was not in issue for us. The right time zone would be nice.

Good to know it isn't just me then! Should I submit a ticket?

Thanks, guys. For future readers, this was confirmed as an issue (Restore Wizard shows snapshot creation time in UTC, without adjusting the timezone) and is planned for addressing in the next update.
