Network Mapping

Post by sjmp »

Veeam v7

Which production network do we want to select for Network Mapping in a replication job.

Vmware management network is the same as the LAN ip's used on the VM

But the ESX hosts and Veeam use our iSCSI network to move traffic.

So when selecting the source network do I want to use my LAN network (production IPs for user access) or the iSCSI network where all data is moved between ESX, Veeam, and SAN?

Thanks

Hello Scott,

You should be selecting production network that is used for VMs communication (the network your VMs are connected to) and not the backup network.

Thank you!
