New Backup Copy Job

Post by mairj » Jul 19, 2017 6:46 pm

I wanted to know if a newly created backup copy job will scan for and copy older backups? To explain in more detail I have a VM called Server 1 that has a backup job that's been running for 2 weeks and 14 backups saved to the backup repo. If I create a backup copy job for Server 1 today will it transfer the 14 historical backups or only start to copy going forward as new intervals are saved?

Hi Jason and welcome to the community!

The backup copy job will start to copy the most recent state of VMs that available in the source repository, thus there will be one restore point created in the target storage. Thanks!
