New Backup Job with Veeam 5

I am creating a backup job, which will backup the VM's to a Network Share.

The VM's include Domain Controllers, Exchange Servers, SQL Servers. (Microsoft OS only Mixture or Windows 2003 & Windows 2008 Servers)

Backup Mode will be reversed Incremental.

Questions: I have been reading through the user guide, but still little confused.

Do i need to enabled VMware Tools Quiescence? (or is this only required for Linux)
Application-aware image processing? (is this for VSS)?

What is guest file system indexing?
