Hey all,
We have new backup hardware and have installed Veeam. This new hardware has a new tape drive and new repository. Would restoring the configuration from the old server try restore the settings for hardware that doesn't exist for the new server?
thanks

Re: New backup server - configuraiton restore query
Hello JC
The migration process is explained in our user guide: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
If you had local repositories, you must migrate them manually to the new backup server. After the configuration restore, check if the backup jobs are pointed to the migrated repositories. If not, add the migrated repository again to the new backup server configuration. Then open the job properties and map the job to the migrated repository.
The new Tape drive must be added to the new backup server manually.
