When adding a new database to a SQL server, Veeam does not see it until the job is run a second time, usually we just run an active full. I searched through the forum and found an old post regarding the same. We have had the issue since we started backing up SQL DB's.

1 VM-1Job
Daily incremental
Weekly Active Full
Log backup every 15 minutes.
When the SQL DBA adds a DB to a server, the next day we start getting the messages about transaction logs from some databases were not backed up, We then need to run an active full even though the job ran successful.
Sequence of events
Job is running log backups every 15 minutes fine.
DBA adds new DB during the day.
Backup job runs at 2am
Log backup resumes
transaction logs from some databases were not backed up messages begin

Re: New SQL Database
Hi Tony, Veeam B&R should start backing up logs from the new database after the next backup job run, be it either full or incremental one. If you see different behavior, please contact technical support for a closer look.
