I'm looking at replacing the Veeam Backup and Replication server we currently have. I'd like to keep the same SQL DB and the same backup location, but will be replacing the current physical server with a virtual one. The SQL DB is remote and the backup location is a file share. We are running version 4.1.1.
Can anyone give me some advice on the best way to do this.
As an aside, is there anywhere i can download the latest version 4 software? I can only see version 5 on the download page.
Thanks

Re: New Veeam Servers
Hi Dan, you can simply install on new server, and point setup to an existing SQL. Since you will be installing 4.1.2 or later version, you need to install on existing server first (which will upgrade the database), and then install on new one and use existing database. Non-current releases can be obtained through support. I recommend going straight to 5.0.1 when it is available next week, as previous major versions have limited support options. Thanks!
