Current Setup:
Site A - ESXi 5.1 production
Site B - ESXi 5.1 DR, with large disk VM for historical backups
10MB MPLS connection
We've been replication, and then running backups of the replicas locally to the large repository for historical purposes. It also significantly reduces the traffic, since it's only getting copied once.
Now with the change in retention policies and copy job WAN accel, is there a better way to replicate from A to B, and also have the historical backups got from A to B, with minimal WAN usage.

Re: New Wan Accel / Copy Jobs Design change
I would keep everything as is for now, and re-architect with the next release. It should provide much better option for your scenario than sending the same data twice across the WAN.

Oh. Guess I shouldn't have upgraded....I'll be paying maintenance on something I won't use.

If you do not need Enterprise Plus edition functionality, you can downgrade you license back to Enterprise.
