Newbie on Veeam needs help

Post by asgard79 »

Hello Veeam users,

I need some help. Not very hard for you but I leave other backup product from 15 years... so I discover Veeam environment.

I do a backup job to protect data (VM in this case). I need to backup it, once by week, with full backup method. I don't know why incremental choice in backup mode window is mandatory ? I've checked "Active Full backup" to generate it.

Last thing : if I backup VM every Tuesday, can I run "active Full backup" at the same day ?

Thanks !

Hi,

If you need just to create an active full backup on Tuesdays, you'll need to configure Active fulls on each Tuesday on the Advanced backup settings and schedule the job (also each Tuesday).

As for the Backup mode, you can just use the default config.

Thanks!

Not in the GUI, but you can use this powershell script:
