Hi All.
I'm new to Veeam. Will be installing it on our new server to backup 4x vm's. I will be changing a older server to run maybe OpenFiler as Iscsi Target with 4x 2TB drives in Raid 10. I also want to back up physical server (domain Controller) as well. I see I will need Endpoint backup for this & do i put this on the same server as Backup & Replication. I will either install the backup software on our SQL server or Remote Desktop Server, the other 2 servers will be Domain controller and Exchange server.
Is iSCSI the best route to go?
Any advice will be most appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Newbie to Veeam
Backing up your VMs to an iSCSI target will work just fine.
For the Veeam End Point Backup Free installation on your physical domain controller you will need to install the Veeam Endpoint Backup on that server. You will then need to launch the VEB from the task bar and go to the control panel to configure a backup job. The backups of this server can be stored on the same backup repository target as the rest of your jobs.
