not enough licenses, NFR license?
Hi community,
We are working on a new envoirement with a Intel Chassis with 3 blades and 1 seperate vcenter which is also backup server
The blades are running vmware esx 5.5
We have been running this setup for testing but the veeam keeps failing with the error: not enough licenses. The first time i saw it i just revoked a server from licensed hosts (there was only 1).
How can i resolve this issue? Would be nice to implement everything working....
thnx

Seems like the current license you use doesn't cover the combined number of sockets your servers have. Thanks.

Strange because it was working for a few weeks and NFR license should cover it all right?

What is the exact number of sockets you license can cover? What how many sockets do those hosts have?

As far as I know NFR keys have a limited number of licensed sockets. In order to extend that you can contact your sales rep.

Re: not enough licenses, NFR license?
licensed sockets: 32
but when i click licenses hosts it says 2 vmware sockets available and 2 remaining ( because i cleared all the esx hosts)
I have 3 vmware hosts with all 2 cpu sockets...

I recommend contacting support, there could be some obsolete records of the old hosts in the database resulting in such behavior.

Here is a quote from our support policy regarding NFR keys:
We currently do not provide any phone support, nor provide response goals or response guarantees for free or NFR licensed products.

So basically, yes, you can contact support, just expect response time based on actual staff availability.
