Noticifactions w/Google account with 2-factor verification

Post by ESSEF »

I want to configure my email notifications with a Google account. But since this account uses two-factor verification I had to create an Application Specific Password to use as my login password.
When I configure Veeam like below:

I get the followinf error when I try to send a test mail:

What am I doing wrong, please?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Settings look correct, but have you allowed Veeam B&R access to your account?

@ foggy:
I followed your procedure (login on GMail + https://accounts.google.com/b/0/DisplayUnlockCaptcha + created a new Application Specific Password) but without result.

The procedure mentions using the application (Veeam B&R) to send the test e-mail within 10 minutes after opening the link, so that Google could remember the application and credentials to allow further access. Have you done that?
