Number of rollback to keep

I would like to ask about the "Number of rollback to keep" function during setup of a backup job.

If I set it to 999, what does it mean ?

You'll be able to restore any of the last 999 backups. Maybe it will take a lot of space...
If you set your backup once a day, just think about the time gap you want.
