Yes, you can try to use Veeam Endpoint Backup for this task.

Is this new functionality? I'm just curious as this thread I believe was only started roughly a month ago.

Also any solution coming or currently available for backing up Linux AHV machines?

This thread was mostly discussing the hypervisor support by Veeam B&R so far, while Veeam Endpoint Backup is installed directly on the guest OS regardless of the platform it is running on (including physical). Linux servers backup will be also available soon.

Ok gotchya, thanks for the clarification. I'll have to go educate myself. I thought Commvault was the only player in the game right now.

Nutanix AHV isn't a particular device (we should be integrated with), but rather a hypervisor platform. Thus, I've moved your post to the corresponding discussion. Thanks.

Just picked up a Nutanix box, and would love to have Veeam support it. Current 8.x customer, and would happily upgrade to 9.x or 10.x whenever Nutanix support comes up.

I was really hoping the Big Announcement this morning would include support for backing up VMs from Nutanix's hypervisor (AHV). :-/

We are evaluating the move to Nutanix. Is Acropolis integration anywhere on the road map?

We do not typically share our roadmap, however, nothing has changed since this thread was started 3 months ago.
