Hello everybody,
On a remote site, running Veeam 7, the NAS has just crashed.
We'd like to set up an Offsite backup only to a repository in our headquarters, but VPN isn't enough stable, backup fails each time.
Is there a way to manage to backup via the WAN link? Which proxy must be used, and how to add the remote repository (which ports need to be opened?)
Thanks for your advise, unfortunately, all of my tries were unsuccesfull ,
Regards!

Re: Offsite Backup Only
Don't you happen to have at least some local storage (bunch of local disks, or some decommissioned storage, etc.)? If so, use it as a local repository, and create a backup copy job pointed to remote location. Backup copy in contrast to backup job can stand against network issues, so, temporary network drops shouldn't be a problem in that case. Also, depending on your product edition, you might consider using WAN Accelerators that are likely to make backup copy job even more stable. Thanks.
