Online Veeam backup Repository but in a non-rewritable and non-erasable manner

Post by albertwt »

Hi All,

I require to configure Veeam Backup repository (OnPremise) to satisfy the following strict requirement:
Backups are stored offline, or online but in a non-rewritable and non-erasable manner.
Since my company is using Azure as the cloud provider, not Amazon AWS (S3), which backup Repository can I select or choose?

Can you please let me know which one to select and what's the best practice to deploy or migrate the existing Windows NTFS Backup Repository to the location that supports the above requirement?

Thank you in advance,

Case #04719535

Hello,

For on-premises we support that with the Hardened Repository (also covered in sticky FAQ).

I will ask support to close the case, as it is not a technical issue.

Best regards,
Hannes

Hi Hannes,

Thank you for the update, therefore, is the Linux VBR Repo (On-Premise) can be Anti-Ransomware proof :-)
Is there any specific Linux distro or steps that I can follow to deploy the Linux Backup repo?
