Oracle 12.2
Oracle 12.2 was recently released.
https://www.oracle.com/corporate/pressr ... 30617.html
We have Veeam 9.5 working with Application Aware processing for Oracle 12.1. However seems to have problems with Oracle RDBMS 12.2
Had anyone successfully got it working with 12.2 ?

Hi Helen, what kind of issues have you seen during backup? Application-aware processing worked fine in our internal tests, though there were some problems during the restore, which are going to be addressed in the next update.

Was your internal test with Oracle 12.2 on Linux?

Yes. Windows tests are also planned though.

Re: Oracle 12.2
I now have the 12.2 backup working on Linux. However, the restore fails, so the fact that I can back it up is moot.
The error is in the Veeam OrapwdVerifier:
Veeam.Oracle.Linux.Client.System.OrapwdVerifier.Verify(ILinuxShell shell, IShellCommand command)
My SYS password is complex and contains at least 8 characters, but the restore complains of the following:
OPW-00029: Password complexity failed for SYS user : Password must contain at least 8 characters.
Perhaps Veeam internally temporarily uses a non-compliant SYS password before it restores the password file from the backup.
I did not have this issue with 12.1, only 12.2

Re: Oracle 12.2
As Foggy mentioned in his post above, there are indeed some known issues around restore, we will resolve them in the next update as a part of adding full Oracle 12.2 support.
