Hello there,
I'm trying to setup some Veeam roles to allow our DBA access to Oracle backups via the veeam plugin. Currently, the DBA team want's to run their own RMAN backups using the Veeam Plug-in for Oracle RMAN. With this option, the plug-in will backup to a SOBR repo that's sitting on a NSF share that Veeam can connect to, but the DBA team won't have direct access to the NFS. How can the DBA team view the backups inside Veeam? And what permissions are needed for them to view?

Re: Oracle backups via plug-in
Hi Andrew,
They need to have an access to the backup server itself to view backups "inside Veeam". Basically, Veeam Backup Viewer role should fully cover their need, you can find more information on this page. On the other hand, it's not clear why do they need to view backups "inside Veeam"? They can use RMAN catalog, for example "LIST BACKUP" command shows all backups performed by RMAN.
Thanks!
