oracle explorer restore a table from DB

Post by student1363 »

hi guys,

Is there a way in which I manage to restore a table from a database? I want to take backup of oracle database and I think it is done by Application awareness, but since the size of database is huge I rather restore specific tables instead of whole database. I read about the oracle explorer but it seems that it restore whole database only.
can I?

thanks

Unfortunately, Veeam Explorer for Oracle currently does not support that. However, we're considering this feature for one of the next product releases. Thanks.

Hi All

The last post in this forum was in 2017, so anybody knows if already is possible to restore a single table from Oracle Database.

Regards.

Hi Valter, no, only database-level recovery is available.

Hello,

I wish the same feature as mentioned above.

I would also usually have to back up only individual tables, but this is currently not possible.
When will this feature be implemented?

Thank you very much, Harry

We cannot provide any particular ETA, we prioritize features based on the demand and value to the product. Thanks!

Hello All!

Since it is 2020 and the V10 is out, I thought I might ask the same question again.

Is there yet a way to restore only tables, using Veeam Explorer for Oracle?
If yes, please refer me to a document that describes the procedure.

Thank you.

With VBR V10 and the new Oracle Explorer there is an indirect way to accomplish this.

https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=100

You can now publish a database instead of doing a complete restore of a database. This allows you to logon to the published database with Oracle tools and export/import the tables you need. Just ensure you are fully aware of table dependencies and changes you are doing at this level.

No, you still need to publish a database and export the required table to restore a single entity. Thanks!
