Oracle RMAN off-site

Post by secretdk »

Hello! We are currently doing tests with the Oracle RMAN integration. What I'm missing in the documentation and in the GUI itself is the option to copy these backups offsite. For us they are pretty important and the copy job option doesn't seem to be available. I see that you can enable copy processing on multiple repositories, but this currently writes to the off-site extent at the same time as the on-site extent, which is not really something we want.

The reason for this is that we have limited bandwidth to the off-site repository and therefore the on-site backup will also take much longer to process. Is there any way we can specify what repository to use in the RMAN configuration?

Hello, right now the only option is to specify multiple repository targets in the plug-in settings. Backup Copy support is planned for the future release. Thanks!
