Hi,
We've recently migrated to a Scale-out Repository using Wasabi and been happy with it so far but on our last full active backup the backup chain decided to move to a per vm backup file...
Nothing changed on our performance tier and 'per vm backup file' has never been selected.
Any ideas why this might have a happened? I know I will have to do a full active again but considering the option has never been ticked I am not sure this will resolve it.
Any guidance welcome.
Thanks
Amaro

Re: Per VM backup not selected
Hi Amaro
Per-VM Backup Chain is the default setting in the sobr performance tier properties.
Can you check it for us? I am sure, it's enabled.
Add Performance Extents
Veeam automatically switched to per-vm backup chain when your active full was scheduled.
Per VM Backup Chain will be the new default with Veeam V12.

Re: Per VM backup not selected
You are quite right, it is enabled under advanced in the SOBR. This obviously overrides whatever is set at the repository level.
I don't think I checked the advanced options when adding the performance tier and this only took effect as the new full active happened.
I guess I will have 2 backup chains for a little bit...
Thanks for helping.
