Per-VM VBKs with Rotated Hard Disks

Just a curiosity on what I've seen on this page:

It states:

Limitations for Per-VM Backup Files Option

The Use per-VM backup files option cannot be enabled for backup repositories with rotated drives.

Can I ask why? I'd really like to use both! Is this something that will be added in the future?

Supporting this specific scenario required additional development efforts that we were not able to apply at that stage. So chances are it will be supported later.
