Perform a synthetic full backup

Veeam backup and replication is current set to perform a forward incremental backup. I would like to have 30 days stored on disk. My question is when should a synthetic full backup be performed? Weekly, bi-monthly, monthly?

Hi Andrew,

If you enable synthetic fulls, then it will be triggered on weekly basis on the defined day. This is the only option in the backup job wizard. In this case you will have 37 restore points (as a maximum) when the configured retention policy will be kicked-in for the first time.
