Portable FLR restore tool?

Hi,

Is there a portable FLR restore tool to restore Windows guest files directly from a Veeam backup file?

Use case: The Veeam Management server is a VM, the repository server is physical. We need to export Windows guest files to a USB drive.
Options:
1) Mount USB drive thru ESX to the VM, FLR copy to USB drive. (not so great performance due to network overhead, en USB mount overhead of ESX)
2) Mount USB in repository server, mount backup on VM, copy files to USB drive. (bad performance due to bidirectional network overhead)
3) Mount backup files on repository server, and copy directory to USB. This would be super preferred, but is it posible??

have you got v9 running yet ?

make the repo the mount host and install the VBR console on the Repo as well.

Not yet, RTM coming soon. Thats looks like a 4'th great option. Thanks for that.

I can see more use cases for an protable FLR mounter, are there any plans for this?
