Hi
I was having all sorts of failrues when trying to replicate a vm to a remote ESXi server over the internet. I origianlly just port fowared 443 to the remote esxi, but was getting failures left and right. I then added the remote servers ip to the routers DMZ and it started working right away. I cant seem to find out what other ports, other than 443 need to be ported fowared at the remote location to get this working
thank you
lee

Re: ports needed for remote esxi replication
Hi Lee, please refer to the User Guide for the latest version, it has a nice table with all required ports listed (page 30). Thanks.

Re: ports needed for remote esxi replication
I looked at the Guide and it lists only "From" and "To".
I was asked if the rules should be bidirectional.
I would say no... create the rules as listed in the Users Guide.

Re: ports needed for remote esxi replication
I would say no as well, as server runs on one side only.
