Post v6 VM restore issue

Post by pmalinov »

As luck would have it, after upgrading from v5.X to v6 we had to RESTORE a full VM from backup.
For some reason we could not go back to the restore points prior the v6 upgrade.
Luckily in our case we had 1 restore point from v6 that worked for us, but if we needed to go further back, we would have been in trouble.

Is this a normal behavior after in-place upgrade to v6?

Thanks

I was able to successfully restore a v5 VM using v6. Defintely something we wanted to test for DR before doing the upgrade in production.

could it be because I have not upgraded the enterprise manager and the search server?

Hardly it could be the reason. However, if Veeam B&R and Enterprise Manager are installed on the same computer, it is recommended to upgrade them both. Please address support team in case you want to find the reason.
