Hi all,

I need the powersheel snapin from veeam for our monitoring system installed on our monitoring system.

Is there a possibility to extract the powershell snapin from the veeam console installation? When I try to install the veeam console, the installation routine wants automatically install additionally the sql server express edition, what is really not wanted and not needed.

Alexander, starting v9 PowerShell snap-in is integrated in Veeam Backup Console and cannot be installed separately. I believe you can point setup to any existing SQL Server instance to avoid local SQL installation.

sorry my fault - only sql server management objects must be installed - no full sql server installation needed!

If I remember correctly, installation of SMO is required only for backup server, while installing backup console doesn't need this component. Thanks.
