Hi,
I have tried the pre/post script from
https://github.com/VeeamHub/application ... s/sap-hana
actually is it the document is useful for multi tenant database or singel tenant database.
I got this error when test the script
Code: Select all
abcadm@hana-svr:/tmp> ./hana-pre-freeze.sh
* 2: general error: Backup error: Snapshot operations are supported for single tenant systems only. SQLSTATE: HY000
Timeout waiting for HANA DB freeze status!
Please help so that the backup image level works
Thanks

Hello,
the error message states it clearly... your configuration (multi tenant) is NOT supported for snapshot operations.
Please use BackInt. I know that you already created several threads. I strongly recommend to get professional help. Because doing backup of SAP the way you do it is dangerous for your company if they ever need a restore.
I recommend to read again the whitepaper how to back up SAP:
https://www.veeam.com/wp-veeam-sap-hana ... e-v19.html
Best regards,
Hannes

Hi Hannes,
thanks for the response, I have read the whitepaper it said that hana storage snapshot didn't support on multi-tenant environment.
i already use backint. is there any way to take backup image-level for hana server with multi-tenant database and keep the data consistent?
Regards

I repeat the error message: not supported
That means: not possible.
Please talk to your SAP admin / engineer. They can explain which versions support snapshotting.
