One of the "Worst case scenario" things that might happen is one of those Smart souls decides to start a _replica virtual machine whilst the original VM is still running. Is it possible to prevent a Replica Virtual machine being started using the vSphere client?
We want to be able to control replica failover from Veeam only.
What is considered best practice to prevent both the Original VM and the Replica VM from booting in the same network?
Best Regards,

Re: Prevent the possibility to start a replica VM from vSphe
Mark, I think the only thing you can do with the help of permissions in vCenter is to prevent starting replica VMs at all, regardless of the original VM state.
