Problem Veeam and MSL 2024 Fiber channel
Hello,
I have Veeam Backup 4.1.1 to Windows 2008 R2 with 1 port fiber channel. I'm on stage to production.
The lun are presented in vmware server fiber chanel reading, with a zonning point to point. Until yesterday it worked mode SAN.
Yesterday I log on my server a HP library MSL 2024 LTO Fibre Channel. AND since Veeam no longer works.
Here are the operations performed to try to solve the problem.
- Test with VCB (identical fashion in san)
- Disconnection of the library with redémarage
- Uninstall tools library
- Relocation Veeam
- Disconnect & reconnect lun.
- Relocation DSN
But it's always the same
Baie: HP P2000 Fiber channele
Stwitch: HP StorageWorks 8/24
Server veeam : DL360 G6 Windows 2008 R2
Library: MSL 2024 LTO 5 Fiber channel
ESX: ESX 4 Update 2

Manuel,
Could you please tell us how are your LUNs displayed in the Windows Disk Management tab at the Veeam backup server?
Thank you!

Seems like all the LUNs are presented correctly (have just compared with our internal lab). It would be useful to see all the log files to troubleshoot this technical issue, so please refer to our support team for assistance. I would also try updating the HBA firmware, might help.

The HBA firmware is the newest version with HP MPIO DSM. And I opened a parallel support ticket

[resolved]Re: Problem Veeam and MSL 2024 Fiber channel
the solution is to put the account used by Veeam to local administrator group of the server.
