Problems removing snapshots

Post by cicero »

Hi,

on one Guest veeam has troubles in removing the snapshot.
Following error message occours:

"Completing current object backup process RemoveSnapshot
failed, snapshotRef /vmfs/volumes/[...]fileserver.vmx-snapshot-156,
timeout 3600000. The request refers to an object that no longer exists or has never existed. "

an snapshot stays on the disk.

Has somebody an idea?

Thanks, David

David, most likely this happens because some other snapshot management operations happened on this VM during backup (manually using VMware Infrastructure Client, or some other tool). What may have happened is new snapshot (157) created, and old snapshot (156) deleted.
