How to fix 'Processing Veeam Error: VSSControl: -2147467259 Backup job failed.'

Hi, I spent couple of hours with the problem below. Here are details & fix in the case you'll have same problem:

VEEAM ERROR:
Processing Veeam Error: VSSControl: -2147467259 Backup job failed.
Cannot create a shadow copy of the volumes containing writer's data.
VSS asynchronous operation is not completed. Operation: [Shadow copies commit]. Code: [0x8004230f].



DETAILS:

Windows 2022 server (virtual machine), which is not in Active Directory. It has installed Veeam Backup & Replication Console - build: 12.0.0.1420 P20230718 (works as server & proxy)

There are 2 users in windows:
Administrator – only member of the group "Administrators"
admink2 – member of the group "Administrators" and "Users"



SOLUTION:
JOB settings, part "Guest processing" field "Guest OS credentials"
- use user ".\Administrator" instead of ".\admink2" for specified VM
