I am getting ready to seed a client with 10tb+ of backup data, so want to make sure I have it right. Here is what I am planning:
Take a large QNAP NAS onsite and add to B&R as NFS repo
Create backup copy jobs to send to this new repo
Once all are completed --
take QNAP NAS offsite to datacenter, which I have setup as Cloud Connect
add to CC config as repo
add client
Back on client B&R server
create new backup copy job and point to CC repo
map backups
Will that work, or will that last part not see the backups that exist?
In other words, what's the best way to pull this off?

Re: Proper way to seed to backup copy
I would avoid adding that QNAP NAS as a repository if you can. I'm not a big fan of using NFS or SMB for your backup repositories (although they work and are supported, they aren't the best bet for a repository).
If you can (and have the disk available), copy the VBK/VBM files to another repository (hardened Linux repo is my favorite). Rescan the repository and map to that repo from your tenant VBR.
Steps are outlined here:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... nk&ver=120
The steps are essentially the same, you just need to create the tenant (if not already created) and add the backup repository to the tenant account under the folder that Veeam will create for those tenant backups.
