Proxy and or Repo for multiple Veeam servers?

Post by jadams159 »

Can a Proxy and/or a Repo(windows server) provide it's respective role to different Veeam servers as long as all the version are the same?

I'm building a fresh Veeam infrastructure with a new Veeam server. I need the two environments to run side by side for a while, but I would like to use some of the existing proxies and repo servers in the new environment rather than deploying those from scratch.

Correct. However, make sure that when you updating infrastructure, you update two servers. Otherwise, one console or the other would have problems working with proxy/repository of different version.

Just keep the load aspect in mind - multiple Veeam B&R servers will assign tasks to the same servers but the maximum number of concurrently running tasks will be counted within each of them.
