Proxy between source and target (bkp copy jobs and replica)
I'm designing the infrastructure between 2 sites and I have a question: for replication job and for backup copy job, do I have to install windows backup proxy both from the primary and the dr site?

Re: Proxy between source and target (bkp copy jobs and repli
Backup copy job doesn't use proxy servers, as everything is done by "source" and "target" repository data movers.
As to replication job, it depends on connection between two sites. If available bandwidth is rather limited (as with the case of WAN connection), then, it will be better to deploy proxy servers at two sites (one closer at production and one at remote site). Having proxies at both ends allows replication data to cross the existing link in highly-compressed and deduplicated state.
Thanks.

Thank you... so if I don't use the proxy servers in both sites during replication, the data aren't compressed and deduplicated, is it correct?
