I would like to see a feature where we could create proxies in groups. That way we could assign a group to a job instead and it would make it easier to add or remove proxies. Possibly even include a priority option in the group so we could have something like:
1 Physical Proxy
2 Virtual Proxy
2 Virtual Proxy
We had a problem with our physical proxy on Friday and we had to go into each job and add a new virtual proxy. Groups would make it a lot easier.

Re: [Feature Request] Proxy Groups
Hello Seth
Thanks for your request.
May I suggest a workaround for this situation:
If there is a issue with a proxy, you can disable it. In that case it won't be used for any of the jobs.

Adding a dedicated proxies to only a few chosen backup jobs can be automatized with PowerShell:

Best,
Fabian

Re: [Feature Request] Proxy Groups
I could see proxy groups being very handy. Eg: You support multiple VMware clusters backed up by one VBR and want to target proxies on each cluster.
Proxy group A for Cluster 1
Proxy group B for Cluster 2, etc.
This would save time keeping some other mapping of which proxies exist on which clusters.

Agreed. Proxy groups would give some needed versatility.
