We are in the process of planning a move of our backup server from a physical server (veeam1) to a virtual one (veeam2). We use the current veeam1 server as the backup manager, a proxy and a repository as well. Because of this, the host is listed as 'This Server' instead of the actual server name in the backup proxy section. When we move over to veeam2, will this be a problem? Or should we create a new proxy with the veeam1 name instead of 'this server'? I'm trying to think of the best way to tackle this, or if Veeam is smart enough to change this on it's own. Hope this makes sense.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Proxy/Repository Question on a migration
Hi Kyle,
After the migration your VM veeam2 becomes 'This server' for the Veeam B&R server.
The previous physical server can be added as a proxy and repository with the name you want. Thanks!
