Public version API?

Post by john.brodhurst »

As an MSP we're looking at BI-ing a lot of our tools, and we've gone on a hunt looking for feeds from our big partners to automate version checking through our RMM. We are looking for a public API to get the latest version of the various Veeam products - ideally something which can be queried through the browser/Power BI/PowerShell Invoke-WebRequest - that sort of thing, and ideally not require the Veeam suite to be installed in order to check. Do Veeam have anything like this available?

Can your code parse the content of this page?

Shouldn't be a problem, but we're looking for version numbers to compare against, which I don't think are exposed through that page. I guess the various links to KBs in there could be crawled, but I'm not confident how static those are and how parse-able the KB pages are

There is no such API call or PS cmdlet, so, you will need to parse the given web-page, KB articles or similar threads. Thanks!
