Purchase new license to enviroment with expired license

Dear All,

I would like to find out if it possible/supported to purchase new VB&R license(2 sockets) and add it to existing enviroment where VB&R license has expired.

According to KB 1718 - https://www.veeam.com/kb1718 it is posible to merge two licenses howewer it is not explinedif it is possibile when one license has expired.

I would appreciate fast response.

Hello Pawel and welcome to the community!
It is possible, but note that the combined license key will have the earliest support expiration date of all product keys, so you will have the merged license with expired maintenance.

Pawel, it may not be possible if you have Veeam Backup Essentials and already have maximum of 6 sockets. Anyway, for all the licensing options please contact directly your Veeam sales rep. Thanks!

Thanks for fast response. I was expecting that merging new license with expired one will result with expired support. We plan to buy the same version i.e. VB&R Enterprise (not Essentials).
