Query on Configuration backup settings

If I have Restore point to keep set to 10, and change the location the of the backups, will it keep the existing backups in the original location until they age out? i.e the first successful backup in the new location will mean the oldest one in the original location will be removed?

Hello,
no, the old configuration backups stay on the old repository and need to be deleted manually.
