question about backup physical machine
Hello,
Sorry but I don't know where post my thread.
I know is not possible to backup a physical machine with backup.
But It's just a idea for me You may have developed a module to do P2V. This is the only thing missing now on the product

Get on with it...we need P2V...NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P2V is why I still mess about with vRanger. Otherwise Veeam all the way!

Re: question about backup physical machine
Ahh...that is a big attracting point for vRanger...vRanger wasn't an option when we started looking b/c we were using ESXi free, but now that that feature is essentially out the window for Veeam (due to VMWare's licensing restrictions), the gap between vRanger and Veeam has closed and P2V will need to be a priority (imho).

Re: question about backup physical machine
Dave, as far as I know they dropped P2V from their newest release (vRanger 4.0) completely, is this correct?

I'm actually not that familiar with vRanger...I was going off of lordzehyn's comment.

Re: question about backup physical machine
OK. Yes, I've double-checked and P2V is no longer available with vRanger 4.0.
Though it does not mean we will not have it
