Question about intances on Veeam Community

Post by Ne0x »

Hi guys I was testing last night community edition in a lab with 2 esxi with one vm each one.

I see each vm uses 1 licence, no matters how much jobs for each vm (backup or replication)

But I see here, server uses 3 licences. What servicie is "server"? I guess that means "host", but each ESXi doesnt use any licence.

Can Anyone tell me wich service or function is "server agent"? I didnt find any info.

Thanks!

It's a weekend :D server is any machine that is protected with an agent-based backup using "Server" functionality mode.

You might want to check licensing conversion table (see section 2.1.1). Community Edition uses the same instance weight as Standard one does. Thanks!
