Question on Backup Copy jobs:
We are backing up Windows Servers with the Veeam Agent to local storage with a 60 day retention in Forever Incremental mode. We would like to set up Backup Copy jobs to send these to our Cloud Connect but with Monthly GFS backups. Does the Backup Copy job perform automatic Full Backups to the Cloud if we have GFS enabled (Keep certain full backups longer for archival purposes)? Or does the source backup job need to have periodic Full Backups scheduled?
Our goal is to keep 60 daily backups to local storage and then to keep 60 daily, 12 monthly, and 1 Year End in the Cloud.
Thank you.

Re: Question on Backup Copy
Veeam Backup Copy Jobs for GFS are synthetic Fulls. Only Changed Data will be uploaded to the Cloud Repository.
It doesn't depend on the source job. Source Job could be forever incremental and your backup copy job can use the GFS settings that you want.
If you configure the option "Read the entire restore point from source instead of synthesising it from increments", then it will be a Active Full instead of a synthetic full and the entire full backup needs to be transferred to the cloud repo.
