Questions about scale-out storage
As I understand the scale-out creates a logical layer on my local storage giving the possibility of stopping or removing one of these storages and the copies will continue to be made in the remaining storages, for example if I having a NAS, a network folder and a local disk as storage for the scale-out, if I change the local storage for some reason, the copies will continue to be saved on the NAS and the network folder. But did I lose any information after changing the local storage?

Re: Questions about scale-out storage
Hello,
and welcome to the forums.
Scale out repositories are a logical name space. It groups together multiple repositories.
It does not have any kind of redundancy built-in. For redundancy, there is the backup copy job or capacity tier in "copy" mode.
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: Questions about scale-out storage
In order not to lose any previous backups it's recommended to evacuate backups first prior to migrating to removing extent from SOBR. Thanks! But did I lose any information after changing the local storage?
