questions regarding new features v10

Hello!

I've visited the VeeamOn-Tour last week and we got informed about the new application-aware processing for mysql- and postgres-servers using VAL. I expected that this functionality would also be available for vm's when using B&R but this has not been confirmed. Now since VAL and B&R target at the same goal and are using similar components, I'm quite surprised why one functionality would be avilable in one product but not for the other.

So my question is: Is this information true or did I probably got misunderstood? If there isn't such a functionality for B&R, will it be available in future releases?

Yes, it's true. And yes, adding the same functionality for VMs in VBR is on our roadmap for future releases.

Wow! Waiting for this for quite some time. What are the limitations when talking about PG? Can transaction logs be backed up?

No transaction log backups in this release, only application-aware processing for consistent backups.
