Quick Backup and Job Retention impact?

The new selective Quick Backup is great addition, but I'm wondering if this impacts overall retention for every other VM in job?

Example: I have backup job with 50 VMs in it with a 30 restore point retention. I run a Quick Backup for 5 VMs at different points in the day. On the subsequent scheduled backup, does the available restore points for all other VMs get reduced by 5 (25 total) ? After running a few Quick Backups today, each of them shows as just another incremental VIB on the repository.
