Quiesced snapshot failed

Post by briankwok »

Hi,

I use Veeam to backup a linux VM machine, the backup always successful before, but it start fail on last week with these error message, there have not snapshot file in datastore, I do not know why? Any idea?
VMtool install already.

"Creating a quiesced snapshot failed because the create snapshot operation exceeded the time limit for holding off I/O in the frozen virtual machine."

Thanks

Hello Brian,

Could you please tell us if you're able to do quiesced snapshot using vSphere Client manually? Also you may use forum's search to read through some exisitng topics with the same issue.

Here is one of them:

http://www.veeam.com/forums/viewtopic.p ... use#p13538

Hope it helps!

Brian, in that case you should work with VMware support and have them fix snapshot creation on this VM. As soon as you are able to create quiesced snapshot using vSphere Client manually, Veeam Backup will also be able to do this. Thanks!
