RD1000 Backup
When configuring a backup to rotated RD1000 cartridges, do you specify 'this repository is backed by rotated hard drives' on the local hard drive job, or on the RD1000 backup copy job itself?
Also, can you can have the original backup as reversed incrementals?

Re: RD1000 Backup
This setting should be specified on repository level, rather than on a job one. When configuring a backup to rotated RD1000 cartridges, do you specify 'this repository is backed by rotated hard drives' on the local hard drive job, or on the RD1000 backup copy job itself?
Correct. Take a look at this KB article, might be useful. Also, can you can have the original backup as reversed incrementals?
Thanks.

Re: RD1000 Backup
Sorry, that's what I meant. The local hard drive repository (C:\backup) or the RD1000 repository (G:\). Which one would you set the option? To me, it would make more sense to have it on the C:\backup repository as that's the one you are backing up.v.Eremin wrote:This setting should be specified on repository level, rather than on a job one.

Re: RD1000 Backup
Hmm.. That sort of reads a bit wrong then doesn't it, as that's not the repository you are backing up, it's the repository you are backing up TO..?v.Eremin wrote:RD1000 repository (G:\)

Re: RD1000 Backup
The label suggests that a repository resides on rotated drives, which is the exact case for RD1000 repository. So, everything seems to be logical here.
Anyway, glad to hear my input was helpful.
