Hello,
I already have a local repository, and now I am planning to create a second repository (~150TB) for backup copy jobs (remote, 25 ms network latency, VPN over 1Gbps WAN).
What do you recommend?
1) Windows server or Linux server?
2) What File system?
3) One big volume (~150TB) or multiple small volumes?
4) Add new Backup Repository as "Direct Attached Storage" or as "Network Attached Storage" (NFS or SMB?)?

Re: Recommendations for remote Backup Repository server?
Hello,
I would go with a SOBR consisting of XFS-formatted Linux hardened repositories to get advanced protection, flexibility, as well as data size reduction capabilities.
Thanks
